Our first webinar in this series focuses on a systemic approach to increasing culturally responsive pedagogy beginning at the state level. Key components include the need to establish research, policy and practice that build the structural capacity of SEAs to support LEAs as they begin implementation of their state ESSA plans.

This is Part I of our Webinar Series for State Education Agencies on ESSA Plan Implementation

This series is designed for state education agencies on ESSA plan implementation. These interactive presentations will focus on strengthening SEA knowledge and understanding of macro and micro systems needed to cultivate, implement, and sustain culturally responsive pedagogies and school-based practices. Participants will learn what culturally responsive pedagogy entails and a framework to support districts and schools in implementing approaches to teaching that ensure the academic achievement of all students, regardless of their cultural background, skin color, ethnicity, race, language, religion, gender or sexual orientation.
